Abstract

Abstract. The article reveals the theoretical principles of interpreting the essence and content of the professional and methodological culture of future aviation specialists. Attention is focused on modern social and professional requirements for the future aviation specialists’ professional training.

The aspects of implementing the cultural approach in the educational process are researched. This approach defines education as a process of continuous entry of an individual into the field of culture and its formation as a subject of culture. It also provides for taking into account the cultural context in upbringing and teaching, contributes to the humanization and humanitarianization of education, and ensures its compliance with modern socio-cultural conditions.

It has been determined that the professional culture of a future aviation specialist is a component of his / her general culture, a complex formation in the holistic professional structure of the personality. This characterizes the entire set of relations in the profession and the corresponding development of individual professionally significant abilities, mental, communicative, psychological and physical qualities, value and motivational sphere. This ensures high quality and a positive attitude towards professional activity.

The substantive characteristics of the professional culture of future aviation specialists are studied. Its interaction with methodological culture is substantiated.

The understanding of the methodological culture of future aviation industry specialist as holistic multi-level and multi-component formation in the structure of his / her personality is grounded. This is part of the content of professional culture. It contains the philosophy of professional activity, methodological knowledge, mastery of methods and methodology of scientific knowledge, mental activity in the mode of methodological reflection, developed abilities for critical analysis of the surrounding reality, a system of internalized professional and universal values. They define professional consciousness and are determined by the properties of integral individuality.

The substantive connections between professional and methodological culture are analyzed based on structural, activity, and axiological approaches.

The important role of the reflective component of methodological culture in the process of professional training of future aviation specialists is noted.
